With respect to the Indian Arts and Crafts Act (IACA) federal law, this image associated with our 50th high school reunion, while not created by a native artist, is native-inspired. The artist, Dick Sleight of our class, was a student of the late native artist and teacher Marvin Oliver, Professor of American Indian Studies and Art at the University of Washington.  No compensation was asked or received for creating this image.

On behalf of our reunion committee, I would like to acknowledge that our school and our reunion venue are on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe.
