Ovesen
After graduating from West Seattle HS, I started my studies
at the University of Washington for two years before
transferring to the University of Denver where I graduated
with a BS in Marketing.
I then moved to Hawaii for 18 years having positions as a
Tour Director, Farmer, Hotel Sales Manager, and Account
Executive for US Cellular.
While on a business trip to Bogota, Colombia, I met my wife
Gladys and we were married two months later (BTW, that is a
good story). Our first daughter was born in Hawai’i before
we moved to Columbia, MO. We then moved to Yakima where our
second daugther, Sabrina was born. We raised our daughters
in Yakima where I later worked selling fiber optic services.
After retirement in August of 2019, we left on a seven month
trip around the world visiting five continents and 23
countries, returning to Hawai’i (March 17th) just as Covid
was starting. Returning to the mainland, we drove cross
country arriving in our new residence in Naples, FL in
November of 2020.
We enjoy exercise, travel, and wine. (Not necessarily in
that order.
